The mysterious £1m Welsh Lottery winner has been found after the search was launched to find the winning ticket
A Welsh Lottery winner who scooped £1million has come forward more than a month after his numbers emerged. Camelot had launched a search after the ticket went unclaimed in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The winning ticket matched five main numbers and the bonus ball in a draw on Easter Saturday April 16. The winning lotto numbers on that date were 2, 4, 6, 35, 55, 58 and the bonus ball was 44.
A search began when the prize was unclaimed, but Camelot has confirmed that a claim has been made and will now go through the validation process, which includes checks to ensure that the terms and conditions rules of the game have been observed.
Once the ticket has been validated and paid for, the ticket holder will then decide whether or not to make public and share their news.
Andy Carter of Camelot, Senior Advisor to Winners at the National Lottery, said: “What amazing news for this lucky ticket holder who has claimed his prize. We will now focus on supporting the ticket holder through the process.
“We encourage everyone to check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. There is also an ongoing search for another winner in Wales who could celebrate in style after winning £10,000 per month for a year on the draw game “Set For Life”.
The owner of the winning ticket, purchased in Cardiff, matched the five main numbers in the Set For Life draw on Monday April 18, 2022 (Easter Monday).
