I won £790,000 in the lottery after ‘sixth sense’ made me buy a ticket
A LUCKY woman claims her intuition helped her win a huge lottery prize after her ‘sixth sense’ tricked her into grabbing a ticket.
The winner, from Queensland, Australia, said it was ‘meant to be’ after pocketing £790,000 in the Gold Lotto draw.
She said she bought the ticket on a whim after feeling she might get lucky.
The woman – who chose to keep her name – said: “It was completely random. It was meant to be.
“I had a sixth sense, I was going to win the Gold Lotto. I just had a feeling in my stomach.”
After retrieving the ticket, the woman was stunned when her numbers emerged as the federal election results rolled in.
She added: “I was just looking at the election results and thought I’d check my ticket.
“That’s when I saw six numbers in red in a row.
“Guess The Lott called the federal election for me, seeing all this red in a row.”
The woman was one of four winners in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw, each pocketing £790,000.
She said she hoped to help her family and pay off her mortgage.
The winner added: “It changes everything for us. It just takes a lot of stress away.
“We can pay the bills and the mortgage. I also want to help my family.”
It comes after a woman told how she hasn’t been able to sleep since winning a huge £22m lotto jackpot – despite not even having to shell out for the ticket.
The stunned winner, from Melbourne, didn’t think to check her numbers right away, but was stunned when they all matched.
In an incredible display of luck, the woman scooped the tantalizing Powerball prize after receiving the ticket ahead of last Thursday’s draw.
Meanwhile, a legal dispute has erupted between a couple who ran a winning lottery syndicate and a man trying to claim a share of the money.
