PEMBINA, North Dakota – The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Field Operations Office would like to announce the dates for a Global Entry registration event to be hosted by CBP at the CBP office at Grand Forks Airport. During this registration event, CBP will conduct interviews for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants.

Travelers interested in applying for Global Entry should apply online using the Global Online Enrollment System. Any candidate wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should start the application process immediately.

Global Entry is a voluntary expedited customs clearance initiative for pre-approved low-risk international travelers. Travelers who are approved for the Global Entry program are processed using biometric identification through a designated kiosk. Global Entry members who use the kiosks benefit from expedited processing and significantly reduced wait times when they return to the United States.

Once applicants have received their conditional approval letter, they can use the online scheduling tool in their Trusted Traveler program account to confirm an appointment for the event. Interviews will take place at the dates / times indicated below:

To become a Global Entry member, individuals must apply online, undergo a background investigation, and complete an in-person interview with a CBP officer. If no disqualifying information is found, travelers are given expedited processing. The $ 100 registration fee allows for five years of membership. Global Entry kiosks are located at 60 US airports and 15 preclearance locations in six countries.

“CBP’s goal for these registration events is to partner with local stakeholders to provide safe and convenient locations for conditionally approved Global Entry applicants to pass the required interview with a CBP officer,” said said Christopher Misson, deputy director of the port of Pembina.

Travelers interested in applying to Global Entry should apply online using the Trusted Traveler Programs registration system at https://ttp.dhs.gov/. With the registration event fast approaching, any applicant wishing to take advantage of this opportunity should begin the application process immediately.
