All the brilliant events to get involved with during the Dubai Fitness Challenge
For the sixth consecutive year, the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2022 invites all residents of Dubai to complete 30 minutes of activity every day for 30 days, from Saturday October 29th to Sunday November 27th.
This initiative was created by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. His vision: to make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world and there are many opportunities to get involved.
Dubai Fitness Challenge is your chance to bring your loved ones together and improve your health and well-being through 30 days of fitness fun.
Here are some brilliant events to get involved with during the Dubai Fitness Challenge this year
IGNITE pink is punk
When: Saturday October 29
Ignite’s Pink is Punk initiative is back for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This 100% non-profit organization is one of a kind and has partnered with Al Jalila Foundation as a charitable beneficiary. Get 30 minutes of exercise while paddling for a good cause. Be sure to register online so you don’t miss out on the fun.

Gate District DIFC Fitness Center
When: Daily activities from Saturday October 29 to Sunday November 6
Start your fitness challenge with a brilliant selection of daily activities at DIFC’s Fitness Hub. Get your heart racing during a HIIT, spinning or Bootcamp session. If you want to keep things a little smoother, stretch out with a yoga class.

May Dubai City Half Marathon
When: Sunday October 30
The Mai Dubai City Half Marathon is back and better than ever. With three different distances to choose from, this race is an inclusive experience that anyone can participate in. Runners can challenge each other on a 5K, 10K, or 21K course, starting with DIFC, which will have you racing through our beloved city. This event is open to anyone aged 16 and over and costs from 150 Dhs.

DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village
When: Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (all month)
You won’t run out of options during DFC with the Kite Beach Fitness Village. It will be packed with innovative ways for friends and family to get fit and have fun, with nearly all activities free. On weekdays and weekends, you can choose from a multitude of classes, such as aerobics, boxing, soccer, yoga and more. The schedule of activities has not been finalized, so stay tuned.

Dubai Tour by DP World
When: Sunday, November 6, from 5 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Take the opportunity to spend the morning biking on Dubai’s iconic Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Sheikh Zayed Road. This community cycling event has two routes: The flat 4 km downtown route, perfect for families and cyclists of all abilities and ages. This course passes by the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa. If you’re up for the challenge, the 12km route loops from Dubai World Trade Center to Safa Park and back, this route is more suited to the seasoned cyclist, including a climb over the Dubai Canal Bridge.

Expo City Night Races
When: Tuesday November 8 and Tuesday November 22
RaceME supports you when it comes to adapting your fitness hours. With these two night races, no matter if you’ve been working a 9 to 5, you can let loose and let off steam at this community event. Lace up your shoes and choose between a 2.5 km or 5 km run at 7:00 p.m. on one of two Tuesday evenings.

EXPO City Dubai Fitness Weekend
When: Saturday 12 and 13 November
As part of DFC, Expo City presents both a race on SaturdayNovember 12 and a cycle on Sunday, November 13. With different distances to choose from, everyone can find something they are comfortable with. And that’s not all… In Expo City, there will be an abundance of other activities to participate in. Join Barrys Bootcamp at Al Wasl Plaza, or find your rhythm with Shimis yoga at the Surreal Water Feature. Book online to ensure you can partake in all the fun.

SkyRun returns to Dubai
When: Saturday November 12
For the 17th consecutive year, SkyRun returns to Dubai. In partnership with Dubai Sports Council, Al Jalila Foundation and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, this 52-story SkyRun will feature 1,334 steps up to the Jumeriah Emirates Towers office tower. Participants range from amateurs to professionals – all united with a commitment to get moving for a good cause. All funds collected are donated to Majlis Al Amal via the Al Jalila Foundation. Dubai women’s race
When: Sunday, November 13, 7 a.m.
Celebrating the spirit of local women, this run is another amazing way to improve your fitness while supporting a good cause. The Dubai Women’s Run was launched to commemorate today’s strong women, with this event growing in popularity. With three different distances to choose from, everyone can find something to suit them. There are three choices: distances of 3 km, 5 km and 10 km. Fees depend on age and distance, so check rates online.

Emirates NBD Unity Run
When: Saturday November 19
This inclusive run supports determined people, raising funds for Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association, Senses Residential and Day Care Center and Beit Al Khair. Walk, jog or run 3km, 5km or 10km in the Dubai Design District. Everyone is encouraged to join in, including determined individuals and their loved ones, to celebrate diversity and unity in the UAE. Entry fees vary depending on the duration of the race. It’s 50 Dhs for 3 km, 100 Dhs for 5 km and 150 Dhs for 10 km. Those 10 or younger can enter for free, as well as determined people with a companion.

Returning for its fourth edition, the Dubai Run 2022 takes over the Sheikh Zayed route on Sunday 20 November. As part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge and presented by Mai Dubai, this free fun run will start at the beautiful Museum of the Future. Choose from a distance of 5 km and 10 km when you register. This fun run is perhaps one of the most iconic in the world, passing some of the city’s most beloved landmarks. You and your loved ones can jog past the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, Burj Khalifa and, if you’re a seasoned runner, down to the beautiful Dubai Canal.
